"This hotel is very dear to me"
Axel Milberg
"At Home in Berlin"

The Savoy
is Berlin, german history,
friendliness and human encounter with friends,
colleagues and people that I admire and who I could only
meet here. Writers, art collectors, families, shy actors and theatre professionals.
In the past, the breakfast room had white-blue stripes, now it is red. Time flies faster in a red room, I read that once. Yes, it feels like that to me. Or am I getting older? When most guests get up from the breakfast tables, some stay seated. As pairs or as groups. Projects are discussed and reunions
celebrated.
Alas, everthing is so soft and gentle,
it is, it is....it really is
a hotel
There is nothing more beautiful than a place, that defies the constant flow of change and that brings the traveller a charming illusion of consistency and the feeling of coming home. That´s what Berlins time-honored Savoy Hotel is to me, with a bar, to fall in love with and for each other.
Berlin's western center: Located in the immediate vicinity of Kurfürstendamm, Savignyplatz, Kantstrasse and Zoo, Savoy Hotel Berlin lies in a calm side street just a few steps away from Theater des Westens and Delphi Filmpalast. Hotel Savoy has always been a favorite meeting spot for authors and intellectuals.
The charming atmosphere of the hotel is just as unique as the people who stay here. Hotel Savoy warmly welcomes its guests in a classy environment. This is how many wonderful friendships have been started over many years.
It tastes sublime
According to Germany's gourmet magazine "Der Feinschmecker", Hotel Savoy in Berlin is one of Germany's best hotels. The outstanding restaurant has many culinary treasures on offer: Starting with gourmet breakfast buffet, continuing with light lunch menus and concluding with dinner in the evening - Hotel Savoy is always a culinary experience par excellence.
Your Own Free Space
Henry Miller expanded the envelope of what was possible in literature. One of the creative backdrops for his work is the suite named in his honor.
But Greta Garbo, Maria Calles and other artists and cosmopolitans have also enjoyed their stays in the Savoy's generously sized rooms.
The 122 rooms and suites of the Grand Hotel Savoy Berlin are amply sized and provide our guests with their own space. For 85 years, our guests have felt at home here and they keep returning. Lovingly designed and furnished, each room has its own special flair. Our attentive and friendly service will gladly tend to all of your needs. Spacious, cozy, snug: Make your visit to Berlin a splendid experience
Single and double rooms at Hotel Savoy Berlin in the Comfort category are available in sizes up to 20 sq m (215 sq ft.). The rooms include a bathroom and shower.
Superior rooms are 20-30 sq m (215-325 sq ft) in size and contain bathrooms with showers or bathtubs, separate sitting areas and some are even equipped with canopy beds.
The suites offer separate bedrooms and living rooms, some of them with two bedrooms, walk-in closets and stereo systems.
Go West!
Kaufhaus des Westens, Theater des Westens, Kurfürstendamm: These are the key landmarks of Berlin's "Golden West". People who've been here always long to return: Hildegard Knef sang about being homesick for the magnificient 125-year old boulevard, and David Bowie sang about his return to the famous neighborhood around KaDeWe.
Art, commerce, culture: there is much to be found between KaDeWe and ICC. Most of these attractions are just a few minutes walk away while Hotel Savoy itself lies in a calm side street crossing Kurfürstendamm and Kantstraße. For those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle can visit the world-famous Zoo, Delphi Filmpalast (cinema) across the street or Theater des Westens right around the corner.

A Walk through the Savoy
German film star Romy Schneider felt at home at the Savoy. She could always rely on hotel staff to protect her privacy. She must have been quite comfortable - her guest book entry was. "Thank heavens for the calmness!"
Ken Adam, Oscar-winning set designer for James Bond films was another regular guest at the Savoy. Perhaps it was here that he came up with the idea for a war room that Reagan searched for in vain at the White House? The elegant and unique designs of the various hotel rooms offer much room for relaxation and inspiration.
Friendliness makes for a good reputation
Thomas Mann stated it thus: "We walked to our familiar Hotel Savoy in Fasanenstraße... so congenial and comfortable... in keeping with one's duty to be friendly, one should take the opportunity to tell others about the hotel."
The Berlin grand hotel with its personable, friendly and attentive service enjoys an outstanding reputation as a location for business or private meetings. Successful meetings are borne from smooth transactions performed in pleasant environments. You can even celebrate your wedding here in a wonderful environment. And those interested in simply celebrating life itself can take advantage of our wellness offerings.
In days of yore, British diplomats would stay here and mediators would celebrate successful spy trades. Today's meetings are similarly constructive. One of the many reasons is the open, friendly atmosphere of the meeting rooms.
The bright garden salon has space for up to 60 persons and allows access to our green inner courtyard that can also be used. Our Salon Bellevue meeting room can hold up to 30 persons and has a glass ceiling with windows facing the roof terrace - incl. a view across the roofs of Berlin. In addition to state-of-the-art technology, our peerless service will ensure that your Berlin event runs smoothly.
Guests at Hotel Savoy interested in tending to their physical or spiritual well-being are spoiled by choice. The room rates include use of our Finnish sauna and relaxation zone. On request, massages, acupunture, holistic health consultants, personal trainers and various other therapies can be booked.
How about a wedding in the style of the Roaring 20s? The grand hotel ballroom has remained on the same solid foundations ever since that time - what better indicator for a wedding could there be? The classic, elegant surroundings of the ballroom are equaled by the exquisite choice of meals and services on offer.
An outstanding Plan
In 1929, Hotel Savoy architect Heinrich Straumer wanted to build Berlin's most modern and comfortable hotel. In terms of comfort, the hotel has enjoyed an outstanding reputation.
